Moria

In the 2nd century AD the Roman rulers of Lesvos built an aqueduct to bring water
the 26km to Mitilene from the springs of Mt Olympos around the Gulf of Gera.
The main surviving section of eleven three tiered arches spans a shallow valley
 about a kilometre outside Moria.
Moria is served by local buses from Mitilene,
though it might be unwise to depend on these if you
are hoping to catch the last bus of the day back to
Molivos or Petra.

A few miles away, hidden at the bottom of a
deep valley in the forest near Lambou Mili on the
Mitilene-Kalloni road, there are the bottom arches
of another span bridging a small river.
It is about 2km along an unsurfaced forest road
which leaves the main road (there is a small signpost
in Greek and English) about 3˝km west of Lambou Mili in the direction of Kalloni.
